Drone Academy
Our Drone Academy program is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and regulatory understanding needed to operate drones safely and professionally.
The program entails:
- Ages 16-24
- Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Be in physical and mental condition to safely operate a drone
- Pass the FAA Part 107 Aeronautical Knowledge Test
- 6 weeks / 12 Sessions / 2 days a week OR
2 weeks / 10 Sessions / 5 days a week
- Drone Ground Lessons via Zoom (weekdays)
- Drone operating lessons will be done to NIST standards
- Drone operating lessons will take place outside at a designated drone location (weather permitting)
- Upon completing the required drone training a timed NIST test will be administered.
Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion as an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (for U.S. commercial drone operator).
