Our Flight Academy program is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and regulatory understanding needed to operate a single engine aircraft safely and professionally.

The program entails:

Ages 13-19
Winter and Summer sessions
Issued flight logbooks
Access to UYA mobile APP
Program apparel
Be able to Read, Write, Speak, and Understand fluent English
Be in physical and mental condition to safely operate an Aircraft
Flight ground Lessons via Zoom (weekdays)
Flight lessons ( weather permitting) will take place at Republic Airport in Farmingdale LI,
Transportation to and from Airport via designated pick up locations
Students will lean to fly a Cessna 172 G 1000 single engine 4 seater plane
Be able to obtain an FAA 3rd Class Medical
Pass the FAA Written Knowledge Test
Pass the FAA Check Ride ( Oral and Practical Test )

Upon completion, participants will receive thier FAA Private Pilot License

Scholarship eligibility is for residents in the 5 boroughs of NYC and parts of Long Island NYS.

We are allotted funds from NYC Council Members and the funds are distributed thru the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development. We also are allotted funds from NYS Assembly Members.

When these funds are secured we will make 3 attempts to contact you based on the email information you provide and what position you are on the waiting list to start the enrollment process.

When we start the enrollment process if you do not respond by the 3rd attempt you will be passed and deleted off the list.

Please make sure the form is filled out with correct and complete information if any info is missing or incorrect that is (*Required) your entry will be excluded.
